What happens next....

My husband and I were referred by our local hospital for ICIS due to OH low count in January. We were under the impression that it would be the long wait but today we got a letter saying they would like to see us in clinic and repeat oh samples. I’m just curious what this appt would be for? Is it just to discuss what is infront of us? We are based in Scotland.

Hi, Im also in Scotland. So what happened for us was that after I'd had the day 21 test the GP checked 2 sperm samples for hubby then referred us on. When we got to clinic they took all of our medical history, scanned me, took some more bloods from both of us and hubby, gave hubby a physical check on testes. They may want to check levels again if he's only done 1 sample and depending on the issue these levels can change. My hubbys levels were less than 1 million per ml so once his bloods came back they did an extra investigation for him to check he didnt have CF or a genetic issue to cause low levels. xx

Thanks. Our local hospital has done all this already so was curious to see if they were just repeating what we have already done for their records...

Is it at the same clinic? I’m in England but my clinic said they wanted to do their own tests on sperm looking at some slightly different things to the one done by the local hospital. Not that I know what those differences were!
