I'm not sure what to do next for the best really and wondered if anyone could offer some advice. It's been 5 months since my laparoscopy and we were basically advised to try naturally and we had between 6-9 months as our 'best shot' optimum time to conceive. Now we're approaching the 6 months I'm beginning to feel anxious that maybe we should try IVF before that time is up?
There in lies another dilemma - do we go back to our last clinic who pretty much wrote us off but is recommended as one of the best? Or do we try yet another clinic (our 3rd for our 3rd cycle) as we're paying for it anyway? Do we go all in access fertility and pay for 3 cycles with a full refund if unsuccessful so we know we've given it everything?
Or maybe should we meet with the gynaecologist that carried out my lap first and see what she says?
Ha so many questions going around my brain's buzzing! So any advice would be greatly received!!! Xxx

My advice is to go for one round- it’s totally up to you but if your infertility is unexplained (I do have endo and they also said to me if no bfp in 3 months go for ivf) there is every possibility you could get pregnant on the first round as I did and freeze the rest.
Unfortunately my fresh round ended in miscarriage but I still have one frozen embryo. You may end up with more - I did IVM so it’s amazing I ended up with any to freeze tbh.
Thanks for your advice 😘 I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. What's IVM? If you don't mind me asking? I always do well at egg collection and fertilisation but then the quality is terrible and I've ended up transferring 2 pretty poor ones each time with none to freeze. I keep finding 'explanations' but then still no joy! X
IVM is where you take no medication up until egg collection.
They retrieve your eggs while immature and culture them until maturity and perform icsi.
After egg collection you take progesterone and oestrogen tablets and if bfp carry on taking until 10th week.
This for me was the right thing, I don’t want to mess up my ovaries by stimulating them too much and I had far less discomfort than some ladies who go the whole hog plus it’s actually cheaper than ivf.
The success rate is slightly lower but to be honest I think it depends on your age, ideally anyone under 35 is best suited.
I was absolutely gutted to lose my pregnancy but i have a little boy who I conceived naturally miraculously. I’ve struggled so much with ttc number 2, 4 years of trying it’s insane and such an awful rollercoaster of emotions. Xx
Ah yes I've heard of that now you mention it. I'm 35 now so prob boy viable for me but it does sound interesting. This whole thing is just stressful and frustrating isn't it? I can't remember what my life was like before it all if I'm honest. Good luck if you decide to go with a fet xxx
I'm sure you feel u can hear the clock ticking but if your specialist has said 9months, why dont you see it out.? Then try other options. Prof. Winston thinks too many women go for IVF too soon. I actually would not give a clinic that had written me off another chance. Look for somewhere else, l understand it's the lab staff that we should be looking at, maybe you could ask some questions along those lines. Wishing you all the best. 🌼
Thanks for your reply. Part of me does think that but I just wondered about trying IVF again before my 6-9 months was up - this will be month 6. I'm still in 2 minds tbh as will need to pay for an appointment to see my gynaecologist anyway. She said she thought we'd been rushed into IVF too soo too so it's interesting you said that! But we've been trying for over 4 years now and nothing so it's hard to wait. Thank you for your kind wishes xxx
