Sucess rates how much to they range? 33% good?

Hello Ladies I was given success rate on IVF ICSI of 33% before egg collection. The reason for fertility was my husbands failed Vasectomy reversal. I am 35 years old but 36 years in May. I had ET with 5 day Embyo 4BB and have 2 frozen 5BB. I would love to hear stories as someone said thats a good sucess rates. We pre paid for 3 cycles on fertility access plan. I loved to hear what your stories are. They never said if my chances have improved after egg colection. ☺

Hiya BBlucky to be honest I don't really bother listening to success rates. Our current clinic told us 35% but the consultant said that before he knew anything about us. I guess it's just based on our ages and the type of treatment etc. I'm sure there are couples who are the same as us who have been more or less successful.

I must admit i think its the last week to wait and its hard to switch off. I was so much more positive in the beginning of the 2WW. ☺

4BB is a great quality blastocyst, and brilliant that you've got the 2 great quality frozen eggs. I had a 4ab (I think) embryo last time and had a BFP but only lasted 12 weeks, but first baby miscarriage kind of runs in my family (despite our consultant telling us miscarriages are not inherited - I don't believe that). When is your OTD? I heard that 4/5 A or B increases your chances up to about 70% or so. Not sure where I read that though x

OTD is that transfer date im still learning the lingo. I got ET on 21st Jan so 1 week today for test. That harsh as 12 weeks is when most people tell people. Since the start of all this some friends have started to open up about their stories. I heard people say not to listen to much to egg quality. I hope this will be your year Lilli79 ☺

Sorry OTD is official test date. It is amazing how much you learn about other people's struggles when you open up about it. Yep I'm hoping this time we'll be successful, we had 2 x 5AA blastocysts transferred on 14th Jan and got our bfp today. Just one of many milestones to reach! 😊 hope it goes well for you test day xx

Basically 1/3 of women are successful on their first ivf attempt. So paying for three rounds is a wise idea as it will increase your chances. All the best x
