Worrying about nuchal test

Had our 12 week nhs scan on Friday. Nuchal measurement for twin B was a bit high said the sono. Waiting to hear from hospital re bloods to see if they indicate chromosomal problems. Baby had a nasal bridge and heart looks fine, which are good signs but it’s a worry! Wish I’d not had the tests now! More worrying and waiting! Xx

Wouldn’t it be nice if once we got our BFPs there was no more worrying and we could just relax and enjoy the ride! But unfortunately that’s not the case. It’s good news that the heart looks fine and there’s a nasal bridge. Hopefully the nuchal scan was just one of those things and everything turns out to be fine. Did they tell you how long you would have to wait to get results back?

Wouldn’t it! Yes I hope so. I thought the sono said Tuesday but I didn’t hear from them yesterday. Online I’ve read that they call early if there’s a problem so I’m hoping maybe they’ve come back ok. Fingers crossed. Xx

Fingers crossed its just a slight enlargement in the measurement and nothing to worry about. Good that the heart and nasal bridge are as they should be. So worrying for you!xx

Hey,

They told me that they usually call within 2 days if there is an issue and you’ll receive results within 14 days if no concerns. I think mines took 8 days to come.

Hopefully all will be ok. It is a worrying time and horrible that the worrying just never stops after everything we’ve already had to go through 😥

Xxx

Thank you ladies! Well, still no call from them so I’m hoping that’s a good sign. Yes when will the worry stop? Not until they’re are here I expect and beyond.

Hope all is well with you both. Has your sickness subsided any yet Amanda? Xx

Sorry I’ve just seen this message!

I have a few days where I’m just sick maybe once or twice and then it hits bad again. I’ll take the good days and enjoy them when I can though 😀 how are you? Xxx

You poor thing that it’s srill ongoing. I’m glad it’s getting a bit better though. Hope you feel better soon. I’m good. Still tired and a bit sickly in the evenings and the last couple of days I’ve not felt great but overall I’m tons better thank you. Looking forward to a break from work over Christmas xx
