Hi, im new here, I had hsgg done yesterday, I was given an analgesic,so I didn't feel any during the procedure, but I felt severe pains later, what should I do

I had the same - really agonising pain - it lasted a couple of days. I went to the GP and they gave me some codeine, which was the square root of useless. In the end my mum rooted round in her medicine cupboard and found something a bit stronger... If you can get to the pharmacy the strongest stuff you can get for the pain over the counter is solpadeine max - it’s paracetamol & codeine and should do the trick! Xx

Hi tejjy. Sometimes having an HSG can cause the tubes to spasm as they get rid of any dye that may be left over. If regular paracetamol isn't working, then speak to your GP for his/her advice. Hope you soon feel better. Diane
