I started stims last wednesday and today they told me I am ready for egg collection. I have Pcos with 40 eggs, 20 bigger. My lining is 12.7. So that sounds great.
I haven’t had any problems with injections, no side effects or bloating. However on Monday my estrogen was a little high and they lowered my dose of Menopur (which was already low).
Today I had a blood test and they said if my estrogen level is still high they might have to freeze and can’t go ahead with transfer this month. They gave me Ovitrelle and Buserelin, they will tell me later what my level is and what injection to use.
But I feel great, I don’t even feel like I am doing ivf! I also felt so positive and calm but the waiting for this phone call is an agony. Did this happen to anyone?

Hi FrancyItaly. Hope all goes well. However, if they have to do a freeze all cycle, then your embryos will be safe, waiting to be transferred back to where they belong. Thinking of you. Diane
My advise you to be ready for the possibility of OHSS! I got it after my egg retrieval. My stomach was so big. But all the best abs regardless thing will bd good
I had a freeze all cycle despite feeling ok…. It was really frustrating and I was really upset, but if the doctors think it’s the right course of action best to follow the advice.
OHSS can kick off in the days after egg collection - so even after you’ve done the collection, make sure you drink loads of water (3L a day at least) as well as drinks rich in electrolytes - they help, apparently! And eat plenty of protein.
This time round I managed a fresh transfer but was painfully bloated after my egg collection - much worse than previous times…. But it settled after a couple of days. Hope you continue feeling great and good luck!! 👍😊 x
