Using left over progesterone

Has anyone used their leftover progesterone on a natural cycle? We're trying naturally before our second ivf cycle. I have low amh but I know that I ovulate. The problem is I have short cycles. They've been around the 24 day mark recently, usually with one or two days spotting beforehand (although this month was 21 days). I usually ovulate around day 14/15 so was thinking of using some progesterone to try and lengthen cycles and give embryo chance of implanting. Has anyone else tried this or been advised to do this? Thank x

I don’t know... but I’d also be really interested to hear if anyone does know! Even though pessaries aren’t my fave 😬 x

I know they're not the best, are they?! But I'm willing to try anything to avoid another cycle!

I've been prescribed cyclogest pessaries for a natural cycle. Don't start IVF until next year. I track bbt so start taking the pessaries after 2 days of temperature rises to confirm ovulation. I also use opks just to be sure! This is my first month so can't comment and whether it's worthwhile x

Thanks Jacqui. I'm not very good at taking my temp. Do you also start two days after postive opk/smiling face?

in reply toAsh2016

I started taking 3 days after the smiley face as my temperature was still low the day following. If you know you ovulate on the same day as the positive opk then start 2 days after. I normally get quite bad ovulation pains but recently they've been lasting longer than just ovulation (pre and possibly post) so I can't always be certain x
