Ttc after excision surgery

Hi all, I had surgery just under 3 weeks ago now to remove endometriosis. It was fairly bad, scattered in most places apart from my tubes and bowel, but one of my ovaries had adhered to something...I forget what. Anyway, it's all been removed and my ovary released from what ever it was stuck to and we've been given the go ahead to start trying again. We have been trying 3 years in total but due to conceiving naturally a year ago after 2 years, we don't qualify for any fertility treatment yet. So we're doing this the old fashioned way for another year. Any succes stories of conceiving naturally after excision of endometriosis would be great to keep me going in our first 2ww since the surgery? Due to ovulate in a few days, really trying not to get my hopes up but stay positive at the same time. I'm hopeful it will happen because we managed to get pregnant before, sadly we lost the baby at 9 weeks (although baby measured 7).

Hi I had major surgery for endometriosis it was all over my ovaries and pouch of douglas etc in July 2014. Then I found out I was pregnant on December 2014 and have a very healthy 2 year old so it can happen the good old fashioned way. Good luck x

Great news they managed to free everything up. I lost my ovary and tube due to an endo mass due to late diagnosis.

They think chances of conceiving naturally are highest after excision so fingers crossed. Strange that for ivf funding they don’t recognise endo as a disease that effects fertility. Almost as if they were trying to save money or something(!)

Has the dr sent your partners swimmers off for tests? We found through the ivf process he had an issues there aswell.

They do recognise it as a condition that effects fertility. We qualified for fertility testing 2 years ago after a year of trying and everything was fine with both of our results. I had the day 1 and 21 bloods and thyroid test etc, and his sperm was tested. It's the treatment that we don't qualify for because we conceived just before the 2 year point. We have to have been trying unsuccessfully for 2 years before we can have fertility treatment. In their eyes it's possible for us to get pregnant naturally given we already did before excision. I understand, and believe me I want to conceive naturally, i would 100% rather not go through ivf. It's just frustrating waiting 3 years to have a baby and still not knowing if it's going to happen. X

Maybe it’s ccg dependent as I wouldn’t have received funding on an endo diagnosis alone. Still had to meet the three years trying etc.
