TTC naturally with Low AMH

Hi all

I’m 40 years old with quite a few autoimmune conditions.

The last couple of years I have been TTC, kind of on / off though. But, the last year I have made it my priority.

Originally, we thought it was my overactive thyroid and endometriosis causing problems.

I have since found out that I have ultra low AMH levels.

Unfortunately, IVF is not an option for us so I was just curious to find out if anyone had actually conceived naturally with low AMH levels?

I’m going to keep trying until the end of the year and then I may have to admit defeat!

Sending you a big hug and good wishes - this must be a very stressful time for - make sure you have support around you . Look at our website fertilitynetworkuk .org click on menu - access support and follow the prompts and find an online group near you . There is also the British Infertility Counselling Association bica.net - this is not a free service but they are all especially trained in counselling people with fertility issues and their relationships Take care

I have! I had my first daughter after a 7 year struggle due to a delayed diagnosis of my endometriosis which until treated impacted on my fertility negatively. Since having our daughter Francesca who is 3 years old next month we now have another daughter Eliza who is 3 months old ( after a late loss and 3 early miscarriages) My AMH was 4 when I was only 32 and that was 8 years ago god knows what it is now! I had Eliza at 40! Totally possible. If you are ovulating have clear tubes and hubby’s sperm is ok totally possible. Good luck Xx

We have conceived naturally - I’m 28 but with an AMH of 1 (recorded in September 2021), and my partner also has sperm issues. Conceived in December 2021I was on DHEA, ubiquinol, pregnancy multi vits, vitamin d and NAC, plus we lead very healthy lives (good diet, no caffeine etc) - all in preparation for ivf at the beginning of this year.

It’s obviously not possible for everyone and I do think we have been extremely lucky, but I know we gave ourselves the very best chance to conceive naturally.

Good luck! 🍀 xx

Thank you.I’ve been taking procieve Max and just started taking DHEA. Also, I recently read about NAC so will definitely start taking that as well now!

The list gets longer every month!

The list gets longer and the bank balance gets smaller 🙈 but fingers crossed it’s all worth it for you 😊 xx

You already saw my post but I just wanted to add that you lose nothing by trying for another year or two. For us, IVF is out of the question but IUI or just plain old ttc still works. Make sure sperm is top notch or close to it and keep going. What helped me was also having a plan B. I was mentally ready to use donor eggs down the road and that probably took some pressure off. Good luck!

Hi at 39 my Amh was 3.4pmol I had 2 kids at 25&27 we started ttc at 37 (my 3rd his 1st) we had 3 mmc got pregnant in 4/5/3mths so didn’t take so long to conceive but kept mc at 12w. We had mc and fertility checks nothing came back except low amh and ivf would be with a donor but we weren’t offered any treatment and advised best to keep trying. I had 2 chemicals at 39 then I had my 40th and decided to slowly move on 6 mths later we were pregnant again this time was the one I had him at 41 my little boy is 1 next week.
