5 weeks 4 days & bleeding 😰

As you can see from my title I'm still early in my pregnancy from a IVF cycle and whent to the toilet about an hour ago and noticed very light pink when I wiped and been the toilet about twice since and it's now turned brown .. sorry for the tmi but there's enough on my liner of brown discharge/blood no clots. I had quit bad cramps about 2 days ago but no bleeding or discharge until today.

I'm so scared and can't stop crying Ive never been pregnant before so I don't no what to expect! Ive called 111 and emergency gynaecology and they've all told me to just monitor it and they can't scan me until next week when I have my scan already booked for the 2nd..

Seriously don't no how I'm going to stay calm/positive until then unless it stops 😭.. have any of you ladies that are pregnant or been pregnant experienced this? Xx

I second Dream32 hun. So many of the ladies om here have even had big bleeds and are ok. Try not to stress too much as you will cause unnecessary hormones to take over. Are you on progesterone xx

Yes hunn I'm on 400mg pressaries 2x a day .. thankfully it's now stopped so I'm not as worried as it only lasted about an hour ..

Got to wait till the 2nd for my scan wich now feels like a lifetime away 😞..

hopefully it was just implantation still 🙏 Xx

So many women will bleed in early pregnancy. Try not to stress. The fact it's stopped no clots no pain Is a good sign. Your scan is the day before mine. Good luck hun 💗🤗😘

Hiya, I had a large but short bleed at 9wks and thought it was the end...but im nearly 21wks now! The important thing is I had no cramps. At 5-6wks I was still getting implantation cramps that felt af like so I'm sure the ones u had a couple of days ago aren't related. My doc told me that 80% of women will get bleeding of some sort in pregnancy so try not to worry (easier said than done I know!)...hugs! xxx

Thanks hunn it's hard but not to think everything for the worse when it's took so long to get here 😞..

It's now stopped though so that's a good sign I suppose 🍀..

It must've only lasted about an hour so hopefully it wasn't anything bad just hope I don't get it again as it gets me so worried xx

Are you using the crinone applicators? I blamed them for my bleed (although I never found out for sure) They seemed to irritate my cervix! I know what u mean about assuming the worst. I do even now! It's such a long road isn't it?! When I did bleed, my initial thought was "well that's that then" and I was very calm. But when it stopped I didn't dare move off the sofa for 2 days haha! (As if that would stop the worst from happening!)

I'm sure you'll be fine hun but I'll keep everything crossed for u anyway 🍀🍀🍀

Yes they are! And yes Ive said to my self sod work I'm ntgoing in for the rest of the week 😂.. I'm visiting the doctors at 5.20 just to check me over but it's completely stopped now and haven't got any cramps so trying to stay calm..

I do hoist people at work so maybe I just need to take it easy..I'll see what the doctor says when I get there. Thank you so much xx

Yes maybe give the hoisting a miss for a few days until you're sure little one is all tucked up inside 😁...on the crinone, I was given some advice not to poke it in too far (halfway should do it) I didn't have any problems after then xx

Hiya I’ve read loads about this and pink or brown are meant to be normal and very common. Red is more worrying. I had red followed by pink and brown and everything’s ok. Try not to worry too much I know that’s easier said than done - i’m sure all will be fine. If you do have red call 111 again and go to see go or walk in Centre xxx

Hey,

I had brown spotting at 5 weeks 5 days. I was really worried too, I didn't have any pain really. My back was a little niggly at times and I had little niggly stomach pains, nothing too strong. Mines lasted a few hours and I didn't have it again.

We had our first scan today and so far all is well! (7 weeks 2 days).

We were told as long as the blood is brown and not red and your not in pain then try not to worry and just keep an eye basically.

Thank hunn 😊 I'll try not to now as it has stopped only lasted an hour I'll mention it to my health visitor later when I'm there so hopefully get some re assurance xx

Dear Kimross1, I can understand your worry and fear. Try to be stong. I was in the same boat (at that same stage) a couple of weeks ago. I also had pink and brown bleeds and sometimes almost red until I was around 9 weeks or 10. I cried all the time, thought i had lost the baby everytime I bled. Went to the emergency room to be diagnosed with threatened abortion. My doctor pit me on progestorone in oil shots in addition to the pessaries i was taking. Now I am 15 weeks pregnant and the bleeding and spotting has since stopped. I know its hard to hear people say sometimes its nothing when it is happenning to you, but i pray you be strong, go to your doctors and follow their advice. I hope everything will work out well for you.
