So when waiting for BFPs did anyone have such painful cramps they were doubling over as it really hurt but still got a positive? I’m struggling to work out if my cramping could be a good thing but I just get them really bad or whether it’s just my body being my body and causing me pain ready for the lead up to af. Also not helped by potential underlying health problem which could cause both cramps and pain. 🤦🏼♀️
Really trying to be positive but finding it really hard atm
Thanks in advance

Its hard to say. I had extremely bad cramping that lasted about 1-2 hours when my baby was implanting. It ended in a miscarriage but I’m sure that was the start of my pregnancy. But as has already been said could be a side effect of the meds or something else entirely. But just to reassure you cramps aren’t always bad. X
I’m not taking anything as we don’t qualify for ivf etc so we are still trying naturally. So am just taking pregnacare. I limit my caffeine intake to that of someone who is pregnant. I eat the Brazil’s drink pineapple etc etc so trying to be good just the cramping and pain hits and then I’m in agony, heat helps but don’t want to over do that even though it’s meant to be good for the uterus and don’t want to be dosed up on paracetamol all the time either.
Just wanted to know if anyone had had bad cramps and still got their positive.
Last week I woke up with pretty bad cramps which I usually don't get when af is due it's normally my back that aches. I cramped over a few days it seems to happen every time I wake up. A few days later I took a test and it was positive. I suppose it's whatever is normal or not normal for you. We seem to be in more tune with our bodies when we're struggling so every little pain we over analyze which sometimes doesn't help. Good luck hun hope your pains ease off soon xxx
Positive thinking is great gives us positive body to nuture potential baby. Everytime I keep thinking negative that I'm going to miscarry I start singing to lift my spirits. Just need to stay away from stress keep positive eat well and hopefully good things will happen xx
I'm really sorry to add a negative in. I started getting cramps as bad as if af was here at 4dpo. I get cramps really bad at af and have always been able to distinguish these from the cramps throughout the luteal phase but this time they were the same. I started spotting last night, 5dpo. I still want to be positive and hope it's implantation spotting, but I have a luteal phase defect and know that this is another month out for us. If you're not spotting with the cramps (or if you do and that's not normal for you) it could be a very good sign, so don't take my bad experience as meaning the same for you. How far through your luteal phase are you? It would be good to know your outcome. Keeping my fingers crossed for you x
It’s ok anything to help me understand this journey and the pain and cramping, is great.
We have never had a positive in 15months of trying. I know that so many people have not had symptoms so I try not to be bothered by that. Last month I spotted (never happened before) I had a drop or so of pinky red blood and then just brown from about 10dpo it would stop then come bk very strange for me and yet af came a day early the bleed was different but still happened.
I’ll be thinking of you hopefully it won’t show up and they will just be bad cramps please keep me posted I’d like to know how you get on.
Af is due thurs (26th) so I’m trying to stay positive but I don’t feel any different whether that’s a good thing or not I don’t know I’ll keep you posted.
Try and rest and not worry too much but I know this is easier said than done
I know what you mean, sometimes it's just nice to know when something isn't right. This is our 20th month, and 24 months of spotting, and only one doctor (a private doctor as well) who has agreed with me that the spotting is not normal and a sign of a hormonal imbalance. NHS just don't want to know.
I know you say you've never had a positive, but last month could have been a chemical? If it was a different month then it could be something to consider. We, through progesterone support, had a chemical in July and the differences that month were quite obvious. Only 1 pregnancy test picked up the hcg levels, they were so low and short lived.
Yes please, I look forward to hearing how you are on Thursday. AF isn't due for me until 1st but I'll let you know if the really strong cramps meant anything different. Xx💕
Thank you lovely. I’m keeping my fingers crossed too trying not to over analyse but don’t feel any different. Otd is thurs which is when af is due so we’ll see.
