I’ve been having some mild cramps on and off at 2-3dp5dt. I know this can be a good sign but they feel like the sort of cramps I tend to get before my period starts so finding it tricky to stay positive. Just have to keep fingers crossed that it’s good cramping not bad! As I’m on pessaries I don’t bleed so keep thinking it could be my period coming on and I wouldn’t know until I stop taking the pessaries after pregnancy test and still have to wait another week for that!
Just wanted to vent that really! For me this has definitely been the hardest part of the whole process... Anyone else feeling the same?
Hope everyone else is doing ok 😃 x

I'm having embryo transfer tomorrow so I will soon be joining you in the dreaded 2ww! I'm sure I will go a bit crazy too 😝 If it helps I've been having some cramping from the pessaries already and it's listed as one of the side effects, so I would say that's the most likely cause. Is there something relaxing/absorbing you can do to take your mind off it? I'm planning to gather a whole heap of crochet patterns today.
Thanks so much for your positive reply 😃 Trying not to overthink things but it’s hard when the physical symptoms are reminding me! I hadn’t realised about cramps being a side effect of the progesterone so thanks for pointing that out. Not absorbing/relaxing but I was at work today which took my mind off things to some extent! How did your pattern gathering go? 😃 Wishing you all the best for your transfer, let me know how you get on! X
Thanks for well wishes - feeling nervous and excited about transfer this afternoon! Got the rest of the week off work and lots of Christmas crochet patterns to keep busy How are you getting along? xx
Let me know how transfer goes/went! Lovely that you’ve got time off! I’m ok thanks, no cramps so far today which just makes life so much nicer and makes it easier to feel positive! Just got to keep fingers crossed and try not to overanalyse everything! Hope you’re ok x
It really is amazing! Well done on the tea and chocolate! Keep taking it easy! X
Hun I had what I thought was period cramping 3 days before my period was due ( 12 days post Lh surge) & was certain it was my period coming ! It was implantation cramps & I couldn’t tell them apart!!! Cramps aren’t always bad.
For me progesterone pessaries never prevented any period from coming ( but obviously everyone is different)
All the best for OTD hope it’s good news for you 😘xoxo
Thanks as always for your reply, Jess! The cramps have eased off now and I haven’t had any for a couple of days. So fingers crossed that’s a good sign! When I was on my Clomid cycles I always had to stop taking the pessaries before my period started which is why I’m guessing it’ll be the same again this time.
That’s great news! Mine only lasted a short time 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻for you.
When is test day?
I’m good thank you- I had a scan on Tuesday because I spotted fresh blood & baby is doing well- right size & no obvious reason for bleeding 😅 this journey is still testing me 🤣I’m going to be 11 weeks on Sunday.
Wishing you the best & really hope this is your time 😍✨❤️xoxo
OTD is Tuesday but may be tempted to test a little early as my husband flies to the States on Monday morning with work... Do you think it’d be ok with one of the sensitive tests that say you can test a bit before your period is due?!
Oh gosh the bleeding must have worried you. So glad all is ok! 😃
Yes fingers crossed this is our time... the 2ww has been a bit of a bubble and am scared the hope I have will be taken away again once I test but just trying to keep positive!
On average it takes 9 days ( but can vary 6-12 days) after ovulation for the embryo to implant ( in this case egg collection) then another 4-5 days after implantation to be strong enough to detect via urine. I got my positive 14 days after ovulation- it was the day after my period was due ( I had to be certain period wasn’t coming I also find negative tests too upsetting & know a missed period would be “proof” as I never miss periods.)
I can completely understand why you would want to test when hubby is home- I couldn’t have tested alone. ☹️
Tests are very sensitive these days & you might be able to get away with testing a day earlier ( but don’t rule yourself out if it’s a negative it could change OTD) Some ladies can test positive before test day- it depends really when implantation has occurred. You will need to use first urine ( at that stage it won’t be strong enough to show up after first urine) I used the clearblue conception pregnancy test-it is very sensitive & spells it out in words & calculates how many weeks. I couldn’t look at lines- by that point they are so faint & hard to look at. You’ve done really well & I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️ xoxo
I’m 7dp5dt today and the cramps came back last night. Trying not to read too much into it but is hard as feel like this could be my period on its way.
Thanks for the info, I think according to that I could test Sunday/Monday which is what I had thought. Unfortunately it’s going to have to be a test as I don’t bleed whilst on Cyclogest so can’t wait for period. Hate the whole process of testing but needs must! Thanks for the tip about the Clearblue test, will have a look for one of those.
Thank you. It’s my birthday today so will be out with the family later for an Italian 😋
Hunni it’s not over! Don’t despair. I had light cramps 5 days after Lh surge & again 3 days before my period was & were very strong cramps. So strong I believed my period was coming! It didn’t & I didn’t feel any differently- didn’t feel pregnant or like I do before my period comes just normal! Early pregnancy symptoms vs PMS are the same & impossible to tell apart! Another twist on this journey.
I’m sure this is your time. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 You have as much chance of it working as it not so may as well remain positive until there is a reason not to be ❤️❤️❤️xoxo
Hello! The cramps I had early after transfer eased and I was hopeful that meant they were ‘good cramps’ but they’ve now come back so am a bit worried it might be the start of my period... annoyingly I don’t bleed when using the pessaries so the only way I’ll know if the IVF has worked or not is when I take the test. Driving myself mad too... Thinking I might test over next couple of days even though OTD isn’t til Tuesday, as my husband is going away with work on Monday morning and I really don’t want to do it on my own.
I really hope your cramps are a good sign for you! How are you feeling otherwise? X
The cramps haven’t started up again for me today. Now I’m doubting it and just wondering if it was due to the pessaries.. 🙈 Yeah I’m sure maybe a day earlier won’t hurt...it’s something you want to experience together. My test day is next Saturday so a whole week away yet 😱
