Hi there, I just took folic acid for my first cycle which was unsuccessful and then, on the advice of my consultant, also took vitamin D for my FET, which was successful. I don't know if the VitD helped, but I would definitely take it again if I was to do another cycle. Good luck! Xx
Hi Newqgirl1. Folic Acid and Vitamin D are the most important to take, providing you are eating a sensible diet. DHEA is usually reserved for ladies over 38 who have poor ovarian reserve. It is a form of steroid, so always take advice before taking it. Hope all goes well for you. Diane
Sorry to jump on this post been trying to find out how much vitamin d should be in prenatals. Iv got a whole food one and it says 400iu should I take 1 or 2 Im not sure which to do it says take 1 or 2 they're expensive so if I don't need to take 2 would be greatful for advice. Thanks 💗😘🤗
Hey, I've always taken pregnacare conception through all my cycles but this cycle I took CoQ10 as well which is meant to help with egg quality, I think it did make a difference x
My clinic recommended folic acid an vitamin D. They also recommended DHEA with C0q10. I know the DHEA is not suitable for you, but it might be worth asking your clinic about C0Q10?
Hey we're taking Pregnacare, I'm also taking coQ10 and my OH is taking fish oils. I am mostly vegan and my husband is veggie but we've decided to start eating fish as I'm concerned about lack of protein. I've given up alcohol and caffeine, my OH has cut down on both. We're both trying to do a bit more exercise, and just get more fresh air. Really hoping some of this helps!!! I don't think DHEA is a good idea unless specifically told to take by a doctor
Hi! I take quite the concoctions, mostly based on advice and info I have found here. Everyday I take vitamin code raw prenatal and vitamin D. On alternating days I take calcium and omega 3 fatty acids, then the other day I take ubiquinol Q10, selenium and alpha lipoic acid. Also have a nutribullet every morning and I add spoon of Linwoods milled seed mixes (the flax, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame seeds and goji berries one and the flaxseed, almonds, Brazil nuts, walnuts and co-enzyme Q10 one). Also put loads of pineapple in too. I have started drinking a cup of whole milk every day and going to start drinking pomegranatejuice too. OH have takes profertil (when I hassle him😬)
You sound like you're on the ball!! I got some nice seed mixes from Asda and mix it with granola or porridge in the morning. What's the deal with whole milk? I only drink plant milk, hopefully I'm not missing out. My husband is od'ing on walnuts, we're getting a little obsessed about food, lol!! 😆
Haha thanks Lilli79! I read a post here a wee while ago about drinking milk after implantation I think? So I thought it can't hurt to have a cup a day, I was always a skimmed girl but trying out the whole fat one, it's like drinking cream! Yum!😄 I'm a diet coke addict and I have given it up completely for a month now and trying to drink loads of water. I'm motivated just now but sure it will wear thin! I'm waiting to hear when my lap will be and then catching up with the fertility doctor in December to review. I'm really hoping to be the picture of health by then so at least I can rule out any life style causes and be in top shape for whatever the next step may be!
