Just had my test results back

Estradiol 268 pmol/l

Progesterone 21.3 nmol/l

Test was done 3 days before period.

Do I need to use progesterone cream? Also I'm hypothyroid.

Hi beenies

I'm interested to see what response you get. Like you I have an under active thyroid. TSH 2.5 but I've read that it should be 1. I'm going to have a 21 day progesterone test next month but I'm day 29 as I don't ovulate until CD22.

I was wondering if my progesterone is low as my luteal phase is short between 7-9 days. I was at the hospital on Tuesdays and the fertility dr said that's long enough for implantation.

Are you experiencing similar things? Xx

Hi Beenies. The check for progesterone level is usually carried out on Day 21 of your menstrual cycle, with a day or two either side if the cycle is longer or shorter than 28 days. The level should be 30 or more to prove ovulation has occurred. Obviously your hormone levels including thyroxin should be within normal limits to become pregnant. If there is an irregularity, then your specialist will probably offer treatment with drugs or even IVF. Hope all is soon sorted for you and a treatment plan offered. Good luck! Diane
