Spotting and low progesterone

Hi everyone...

After my positive test last week and being on cloud 9 I was brought back down to earth very quickly when i started spotting over the weekend. Just brown discharge at first but there has been 2 or 3 times when i have wiped and there has been what looks like fresh blood. Went into a bit of a panic yesterday (what with it being Sunday) but phoned the emergency line for the clinic and they reassured me and told me to go for a blood test this morning. Have had results back and while my HCG level was good around 3200 i think? The progesterone was low at 22. The nurse said this should be 50 so told me to start taking an extra cyclogest pessary each day so will now be 4 x day. I asked what this meant and she said the low levels of progesterone could effect my body being able to continue the pegnancy but not to worry just yet. Obviosuly I am! :(

Just wanted to hear from others on their expereince at this stage as this is first time ever pregnant for me!

Just to add I have had no cramping but have had quite an upset tummy for the last few days which didnt know if that could be linked?!

Going out of my mind....trying to carry on at work like normal and told them i had a dentist appt this morning...if only they knew!!!

Thanks in advance as always...don't know what i'd do without this forum!

xxx

Yes your right something to do with the hormone that gets produced when we stress it takes over our good hormones I think that's how it works. Still learning about how our hormones work. There's so much to learn. Gets confusing sometimes. Hope your OK and doing a lot better. Xx
