The clinic said I could test a day early as my period had started. It's a BFN as I knew it would be. Thank you all for your support on my previous post, I feel much better than I did on Weds, and even this wedding seems much more bearable now I can have a drink! I'm also going to have some caffeinated tea, maybe some soft boiled eggs, and perhaps find some heavy lifting to do... just because I can!
Not sure what we will do next, will wait to make a decision until we have our follow up with the consultant, but for now I'm just looking forward to how much more normal I'm going to feel once these drugs are out of my system. Oh the joy of not inserting a pessary this morning! Every cloud has a silver lining...

So sorry to hear this Lizzie but glad you're seeing the positives. Take time to give your mind & body a rest and like you say, do all the forbidden things during treatment! I hope you enjoy the wedding & get a plan in place when you're ready xx
Got through breakfast with the pregnant couple... hoping they're done with telling us what an awful time she's having with the morning sickness (they really are, I do feel sorry for her, she's lost 2 1/2 stone) so we can talk about other things for the rest of the day.
It's actually 24 hour for hotel residents I've just realised... but having not drunk in months I'd probably better wait a little while or I might be a sobbing mess during the wedding breakfast...
That's what Mr Emu says to me! "If this doesn't work I reckon you'll be heading straight for a full fat coffee before the gin!"
Your post this morning gave us lots to talk about for how we'll approach on Thursday if it doesn't work. We thought we were being a bit silly having a positive outlook and agreeing normal things to do like drinking coffee. But now we don't feel so foolish for preparing for the worst xx
You are so incredibly strong Lizzie, I couldn't do what you are doing today- a wedding and with a pregnant lady. You are so brave and made of steel hon!! Make the most of that bar!! 😉 xxx
