Hey, probably the most novice question going but does the 2ww start from the day of collection or transfer?

Day of transfer...

Usually by the time you get to transfer you're already a few days into the 2ww. Eggs are collected generally around day 12/14 after stims, then either 3 or 5 days after collection/fertilisation you will (hopefully) have your transfer. So at that point you then have 11 or 9 days to wait till test day. x

From EC - I had my trigger on the 14th Jan (Saturday evening 21.00), egg collection on 16th Jan (Monday morning at 9am 36 hours after EC), day 5 transfer on Saturday 21st Jan and OTD on Monday 31st Jan. The OTD would not have changed regardless of day 3 or 5 transfer. I have seen that some women have been advised to wait longer but my experience has followed as above. I would go with the advice from your clinic xoxo

My official test date was 16 days after EC and 11 days after ET but I tested 14 days after EC and got a BFP. Good luck x

My official test date was 16 days from ET (with a 5 day blasto). I wondered why it was so long but other people at the same clinic have said exactly the same. There seems to be quite a variation between clinics and I think the reasoning of our clinic is after 16 days there's very little chance of a false negative.

When I did test the BFP was fairly faint. If I'd tested 14 days after EC that would have been a full week earlier and I don't think I'd have seen a positive.
