A very quick question from me..

Hello ladies just a very quick question. Does anyone know how long it takes for 10,000iu’s of Gonasi (HCG trigger shot) to leave your system. I know most clinics only do 5,000 iu’s so it’s a double trigger. Thank you 😊 xx

Hi Countrymouse. I remember reading somewhere that it takes one day for each 1000iu's of the trigger shot to leave your system. So for a double trigger of 10,000iu's, it will take 10 days. I can't find the link to where I read this now but hopefully it's helpful! xx

Thank you! Iv found a couple of sources online which say it’s 14 days. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Seems a long time to me. I’m still getting positive tests and I had the trigger 11 days ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ Xx

Is it getting any lighter or darker? I’ve had a double trigger and tested negative before now xx

It’s about the same 🧐 ! I had a a double last time but we spilt a tiny bit 🙈 I was testing negative by now but because of that I can’t really compare. Oh the joys of testing early. Not recommended!! Xx

Oh I know but I won’t tell you off because I always test early 🙈

I would definitely expect it to be getting lighter if it was the trigger still so hopefully that’s a good sign 🤞🏻 xx

Thank you. I would never have the patience to hold off until OTD 🥴 I think it’s too early to be anything but the trigger. Not long to go now at least 🙃Xx

I got mine at 5dp5dt so that’s the same as tomorrow for you. Got everything crossed for a darker line xx

Yes that’s when I got my first positive last round 👍🏻 But by today I’d had an absolute negative so I knew it was a true positive. Hopefully there will still be a line tomorrow and it will start getting darker. Thank you 🙏🏻 ! 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈🤯🥴xx

I had double trigger and took me around 12 days to get a complete negative test 🤪🙄 I know how annoying it is 😤😣

It’s roughly 24 hours for hcg to halve so I wrote mine down on a piece of paper and it was pretty accurate to when the trigger was out (I had 5000 hcg) - negative FRER morning is 3dp5dt - I then started to get a BFP 4dp5dt

Oh ok! Thank you 👍🏻 Do you know how low it has to go for a FRER to not be positive? 🧐 xx

Hey - I always have a double trigger and last cycle I tested it out, it was still really strong 6dpt and 7dpt but finally around 8dp5det it was just about gone.. I so thought for a minute it was good news, so I am afraid mine hung around for 13 days post transfer before disappearing xx

Hello 👋🏻 Thank you. Yes this is what I’m thinking is happening🤯Xx

Got everything crossed for you that it’s not the trigger and it’s a positive for you xx

hi ,

Most of the clinics do 10000iu because alot of units are not active. Hcg is a very sensitive hormone that spoils easily if is not in perfect conditions. So is not really standard how much of the hormone will actually work in your system. Sadly the hcg test gives you positive even in non active hcg and the non active hcg stays at your body even more tha the active. (15 days is the most my clinic suggested)

Hello. Thank you for this. It’s just confusing because it was well out of my system by now on our last round. Probably because we spilt some 🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess I’m just going to have to be patient 😬Xx
