Threatened miscarriage 9w4d

Haven't been on here in a while just trying to concentrate on little one. We were thrilled when our 7 week scan looked good and we were transferred to midwife care from the ivf clinic. Desperately tried to stop my gorgeous nephews using me as a Christmas climbing frame! Then overnight i had a bleed i was convinced it was all over. Phoned nhs24 at 4am and managed to get a scan app today. The most stressful 12 hrs of our lives. Little bean was happy as anything flexing away and waving totally unconcerned with the bleed behind his/her little home. Midwife said it was a threatened miscarriage... desperately hoping the bleeding will stop and little one will continue to be ok! Just wanted to give anyone else who may go through early bleeding some hope xx

I had a very heavy bleed at 8 and 12 weeks and baby was fine xx they always call it threatened miscarriage but I am sure your baby will be just fine! Just rest up X

When I had my bleed at 7 weeks they called it a 'threatened abortion' which made me feel like I somehow wanted it to happen ☹️️

I am sure the baby will be fine. Just make sure you look after yourself. 💋

Thanks ladies! It's reassuring to know others have had this and are ok. It's crazy what we go through to get pregnant then all the stress that comes with staying pregnant! Xx

Kernishp- what an unfortunate term they used with you. Threatened abortion? Dreadful!! 😖

Wishing- as the other ladies said, we had a big bleed day before our 12 week scan, we still don't know what it was or where it came from. Try not to worry. I know how your heart falls into your knees when you see blood. It's terrifying, I tried to stop my 5 year old clambering over me when I was pregnant and that's easier said than done too. It's all he's ever done and he didn't really understand. 😔 Rest as best you can hun, I'm pretty sure threatened miscarriage is a label they give for unexplained bleeding. It's not always the case.
