So today I started bleeding quite heavily and passed some clots... completely devastated.
I phoned the clinic and they advised that I just have to carry on with my meds as normal and wait for the viability scan next week. Not sure how I will get through till then but understand they won’t be able to see anything on a scan yet anyway and blood test etc will still show positive for another week.
Anyone else have a double transfer, have a bleed but still have one sticky one? Clinging on to last bit of hope xxx
**update - bleed seems to have stopped today, hoping it’s a good sign. GP was not willing to do anything, still feeling very anxious though**

Gosh Im so sorry Sarah, its totally gutting! It seems awfully cruel to leave you another wekk wondering whats going on. Have you had bad cramping? Some ladies do have bleeding and can be ok. Can you ask your clinic to do a couple of hCG bloods Big hugs, its an awful situation to be in.xx
Just started cramping a bit, the clinic told me the bloods would still show positive for a week anyway. I’ve come home from work but not sure how I will concentrate for the next week. Just got to pray the bleeding stops xx
Yes that's true they would, I just thought they did 2 a couple of days apart they would see a rise or drop....my early pregnancy clinic did bloods for me when I miscarried but maybe I just came across a kind nurse. My cramping was quite intense but didnt last long. Really hoping your bleeding settles down, get home and got those feet up!xxx
Sorry to hear your bleeding. I don’t want to get your hopes up but I bled heavily at 6 weeks and again at 6+4 with clots and it was heavy and red and crampy. I was convinced it was over but thankfully it was fine. I spoke to my GP who got me and scan booked at my local hospital. I didn’t even tell my clinic until I went for viability scan so maybe that might be worth doing? Xx
Ah that’s true it might be worth waiting though although I know how difficult that is! Also annoying that it’s a long bank holiday. Hopefully the bleeding settles for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx
This happened to me and I’m currently 10+5 pregnant. The clinic seem to think it was the second embryo that came away. I was convinced it was over and had to wait a week for the scan but the little bambino was there heart beating away. Stay positive I know it’s hard sending love xxxx
So sorry to hear what you are going through it’s so worrying for you.
I have had lots of spotting throughout this pregnancy. Mostly brown but I did have fresh blood with clots at 10 weeks & was terrified I was losing the baby. The GP got me a scan the next day & everything was fine to my utter amazement! I’m now 33 weeks.
I never got an explanation for the bleeding except they were sure it was nothing to do with the baby.
Women can bleed in pregnancy & babies are okay. It’s more common than most people know.
Hope the scan can offer you the reassurance you need. xxx
Sorry to hear that Sarah. I have everything crossed for you that all is okay. Plenty of women appear to bleed with everything working out okay so hope this is the case for you too.
My friend had a double transfer, bled (i think around the same stage) and still had a lovely little girl.
My sister went through this after a double transfer - bled during the 2ww and was sure it was over, then after her positive test continued to bleed (bright red, heavy flow with clots). At the viability scan she was shocked to see two strong heartbeats! Any bleeding is awful to go through but given some of the other stories on here, it sounds quite common - even with clots. Hang on in there xx
Hiyah. Just wanted to say that your local Early Pregnancy Unit should be able to offer you a scan. If they think it's a little early they will take bloods first, and if they are over a certain threshold they will offer a scan. From memory I had one at 5+days and they were able to detect gestation sacs.
