Take time to try and relax, eat well and take things as they come, as things can change at any stage of treatment. It is important that you can be malleable to what may come at each stage. I hope that your treatment goes well and that you have the outcome you wish for! Happy New Year!

Hello,

I have just finished my first round of IVF, I swam 5/6 days per week until the ET (I do love it :-)) but gave up all caffeine, alcohol and tried to drink more fluid, so far our journey has been positive and we are now past 2ww and waiting for our scan :-) not sure how much the above did or didn't change things but it helped me feel I was in control of doing what I could.

Very best of luck

I cut out alchohol and caffeine from the first injection onwards. Otherwise I ate and drank as normal, did my exercise class until EC and drank loads of water. Also took a prenatal vitamin.

When I wanted chocolate I had it and didn't deny myself overall. It's all enough of an effort without putting the pressure on yourself.

Put yourself first and follow your instincts. Good luck! X

While on treatment I gladly gave up hoovering..lol..kept telling my husband that I couldn't do it cause of treatment...sure I read that somewhere and was one of those things I hung onto...nice reason to chill for once😀I swam before treatment not during and did some mindfulness which was helpful and lots of walks with the dog .trying to stay calm and relaxed is most important...get some box sets and chill xxx

Hi Sophia!! Just to reiterate what the other girls have said really, try not to put too much pressure on yourself. In time you will realise that everyone does things differently and it doesn't necessarily have any impact on the outcome. I have given up alcohol (as of beginning October) and gave up caffeine a year ago. Other than that I take a pre-conception vitamin and try to eat as well as I can and drink plenty of water. That's about it though really. I'm not being as strict with myself this second cycle, if I fancy a little bit of cake or something I will have some but I won't go too wild haha I stopped running during my treatment last cycle but I walked every day. I will continue to do that this coming cycle. I hope everything goes well for you, keep in touch and best of luck x x x
