Morning! Well, as the title says, I've been wide awake since 4am... think it's a mix of excitement and nerves because we're having our first iui treatment today! After 11 days of gonal f injections yesterday's scan showed a 16mm follicle on day 16 of my cycle and an ovulation test revealed a smiley face making it "all systems go" for insemination today! Clinic still gave me a trigger shot yesterday to help things along and I've got everything (except my legs π) crossed that it all goes to plan later... hubby is booked in to "do what he needs to do" at 8.30am and then an hour or so later his freshly washed sperm will be going on an egg hunt! I'm making him be in the room with me when they do the insemination; he wanted to go straight off to work after he'd produced but I said that as he would normally be in the same room as me during potential conception I want it to be that way today as well!!! I don't think he dares to do anything else now, I had a bit of a hormonal melt down about it last week - the things we put our loved ones through hey! I'm already looking forward to a nice long nap this afternoon - clinic strongly suggest / advise taking the rest of the day off work to chill out so I'm doing what I'm told... fingers crossed the 2ww after today goes quickly and here's hoping for the best possible christmas present this year... baby dust to all xxx
