Hi, does anyone know the process of egg freezing. As I've heard it's good to freeze an it cuts prices down for your next cycle if the first didn't work. Has anyone used they frozen eggs for the second cycle an how much did the 2nd cycle cost.

Hope I'm making sense

Hi Sophia, the way my treatment worked is that I had three rounds of egg collection and they were all frozen. I then had one fet as part of the package. I have had to pay again for the most recent fet and it was about £950 (natural fet) all in, so much cheaper than a normal cycle. Hope this helps xxx

Hi sophia88. Frozen eggs still have to be thawed and fertilised before being transferred. Fortunately, the modern methods of freezing (vitrification) are so much better, which higher survival rates on thawing. Once fertilised your embryo(s) would be transferred back to you as usual. Obviously costs vary so much, so you would need to enquire from your clinic. Good luck with it all. Diane
