Hi, I’m travelling to Nicosia on Wednesday and staying for the full 3 weeks of my treatment, looking into travel insurance and wondered if anyone has any recommendations please? Just had a quote for travel insurance for a trip for ivf and it was £90 is that reasonable?
Also has anyone stayed at the sky roof hotel? If so was it nice? Any tips?
Thank you :-)x

Unfortunately I can't help answer your question, but I am currently researching North Cyprus clinics as our British consultant recommended them.
We have to use donor eggs and have had 4 failed attempts in the UK, money is running out. In our last consultant meeting he said other than his clinic the only other place he would go is to North Cyprus, but he couldn't give us the name of a clinic.
I have started researching it, but it is very overwhelming. Wondered if you had any advice?
Hi kazbzzz if you find out the name of the clinic I would be interested in knowing pls.We have had 2 failed attempts with donor eggs like you say the money is starting to run out.
Going abroad is a scary thought but it may be our only option. Xx
It’s all so expensive isn’t it? It does work out a lot cheaper here though I work for an airline so get really cheap flights. I’ll pm you the name of the clinic I’m using and let you know what it’s like after my treatment x
Hey!It really is confusing isn’t it? I don’t think we’re allowed to mention clinics on this page but I could send you a private message if you like? For me there was no clear favourite, I heard bad and good stories about all the clinics, I ended up just picking the one I felt the best about. I’m doing a tandem cycle so still have that outside chance of using my own eggs. Currently sat in the lounge at Heathrow, can’t keep my legs still I’m so blooming nervous haha! X
Hi, just seen your post and wondered if you could tell me which clinic you used and how it went as I’m currently looking at tandem/ivf cycles in northern Cyprus. Thank you 😊
I went to Spain for IVF last month and used Medical Travel Shield. It was about £40- although we were only there for 4 days so it might explain the price difference. It doesn't cover for covid or lots of other travel related issues that might happen so I also bought some standard cover.
This was actually our second trip out to Spain, our first unfortunately resulted in a MMC. We were originally there for 9 days- we used donor eggs and had a fresh transfer of one embryo. We had another 5 embryos in the freezer. Its generally been a positive experience (except obviously the miscarriage). The doctors are really professional and kind, and if was a relaxing place to be for treatment.
