I am currently undergoing a medicated round for FET, i'm due for embryo transfer tomorrow under IV sedation so will be NBM. Im taking prednisolone this cycle on advice of my consultant which needs to be talen with or after food- i'm not sure if i should take this in the morning on an empty stomach or omit the dose?
Anyone had this before?

Steroid have the tendency to cause stomach irritation like anti-inflammatories therefore the advice is to take it with food. I was also taking steroid before my EC and that morning I took it on an empty stomach before NBM from 6am. Hope this helps and good luck with your transfer tomorrow xx
Thank you, thats what my OH and i were expecting, a one off dose on an empty stomach is unlikely to be a concern, and i have no history of ulcers etc!

I take mine with my breakfast. As others have said it can dispute sleep if taken at night. Good luck with the transfer & 2WW xoxo 😘
Thank you. I didnt know about the sleep disturbances but am taking it twice daily around 7/8ish so its not been too bad- will try to keep the evening dose earlier- with all the hormones, i need my sleep!
I cant help with steriod advice although I will be taking them this coming FET but whenever Ive had other tablets to take in the morning Ive been told just to go ahead with a tiny sip of water to get it over.xx
