Hey, this is my first day here and I'm going to begin my first round of IUI at the end of March. Just wondering if there was anything I could do to improve my chances. Also looking for a little support as after years of trying I'm having difficulty believing that anything will work.

First IUI
Hey m_v_b
Im doing IVF at the moment, first time and have egg transfer tomorrow. Not sure that there is really anything you can do but just keep yourself as healthy as possible and try as much as possible to remain positive. I completely under estimated how difficult this journey is, its a rollercoaster of ups and downs.
A lot of the girls on here like accupuncture sessions etc so that may be worth looking into, keep yourself relaxed.
Wishing you all the luck in the world, it will happen for you so just believe in yourself xxx
Thanks, not sure about acupuncture. I'm really scared of needles. Guess that's about to get cured 😉. Good luck for tomorrow.
Hey I has IUI four times I was really excited about it but unfortunately it didn't work for me and I went on to have Ivf and it worked first time and now have 2 beautiful boys. When my IUI failed I'd feel helpless and a failure but never give up its the hardest journey to go through but it's so worth it when you get the bundle in your arms I hope your lucky with your IUI treatment good luck
Hi M_V_B,
I've just recently found out I'm pregnant following IUI. It came as a complete surprise as we had two failed IVF cycles previously so didn't expect IUI to work.
I did have acupuncture this time and also an endo scratch.
Wishing you all the luck in your journey 🍀 xx
Congratulations. I've got my fingers (and toes, and everything else) crossed for my treatment. I have no idea what an ending scratch is though. 😊
We're in the same position as you, we're meant to have our first iui in my last cycle but things didn't look good enough so trying on next cycle now which should be in about 3 weeks. Are you having natural or medicated iui? Will be nice to have someone going through same stages to share / compare experience with
I'm having a medicated IUI. It'd be great to have someone to share things with, my husband is great but I don't think anyone can really appreciate what it's like until they've been through it. I'm fairly sure I have some surprises coming my way. Is your IUI going to be medicated?
Hi M_V_B, I am in the same position as yourself, had my consultation today and got an appointment on Wednesday for the nurse to show me how to object the FSH! Should be starting it next month if all is good! Happening so fast but fingers crossed for all of us! X
Hi M_V_B,
I am starting an IUI with medication in one week time. I know this post was from sometime ago... How was you experience?
