For me I started the medication for them to do the fet 4 months after. I cried when they told me it would be this long. Looking back though I'm so glad it was as it gives your body chance to recover from all the meds, we were lucky and it worked first time 😊
It might be different for you though and be less time.
I thought about acupuncture but ended up not doing, a friend had it and it helped, we just did things as normal and enjoyed ourselves, we had a hol booked in between so it was nice to just relax.
Good luck and don't be disappointed if its a bit of a wait xx
Two possibilities, a high protein diet may help egg quality and I've seen lots of recommendations for pineapple to improve the lining. They also say cutting out caffeine is good and drinking lots of water. Good luck x
Hi Faith_87. If you don’t hyper-stimulate, then your embryo(s) will be put back after 3-5 days, depending upon how long they grow tem on for. Should OHSS be a problem, then you need to wait 2 months or more for FET, which will probably be done on a natural cycle. I have listed some of the “good” things to have eat - Carbohydrates - Wholegrain bread and wholemeal pasta, oatmeal, brown rice. All fresh vegetables especially raw or steamed. Over boiling rids them of vitamins and minerals, pineapple juice, apricots, potatoes, all fruit and honey, beans, chickpeas and lentils. Protein - Organic meat if possible, poultry, fish, Milk and hard cheese, nuts and seeds. Fat - Extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil, avocado and peanut butter, mackerel, sardines, nuts (especially Brazil and walnuts), seeds, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The things to avoid are too much sugar, processed foods, ready meals, butter, ice cream etc. A little is OK, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water and only a little tea and coffee if feeling deprived. No alcohol and no smoking. Oh and don’t forget the Folic Acid! Hope this helps and all the best with the fresh or FET. Diane
Take it now hun, pregnancy multi vit is good as it will have vitamin d too which is recommended. Swap to decaf, honestly I don't notice so much and I'm an avid coffee drinker! Other half even has decaf tea after 5pm now! Be careful with fizzy drinks also as some will contain caffeine too. You need to have less than 200mg a day which is just over 2 cups of coffee. Drink lots of water, the drugs as you may be finding now can give you rubbish headaches, mine was crazy last night so up'd my water. A dear friend had ohss, it's not cool, so if you do have a bit of a wait (and I say this as an extremely impatient person), remember the wait is for your embie's safety as well as yours. The very best of luck, my egg collection is going to be around 25th, so hope we both get great little embryos 😊 xx
thank you for your comments, egg collection will be by next week fri i think. i have a scan tomorrow will ask them when egg collection will be-i have a feeling it will be end of Apr/May. can i still try and conceive naturally during the wait?
