Hi has anyone had icsi on the nhs but 3 failed implantations? Been looking into reasons why and there is something about your immune system attacking the embryo cells. My question is has anyone had this test done or any other tests on the nhs after 3 failed goes? Thanks xx

Bfn again
Not had the nk test myself, I'm not sure it's even something the nhs will honour as varying opinions on it throughout the field. My specialist mentioned to us just recently some in the industry are moving away from the tests in general because of a lack of proof of effectiveness. Maybe worth speaking to your specialist regarding the use of steroids in another try if that's something you want and are able to do.
I'm so sorry for your struggle, it's such a hard path isn't it. My best wishes to you xx
Thank you. Im def going to speak to the doc about it and if he says to try steroids then thats what i will do. Im going to ask about having a scratch done to, to see if that helps. Im ready to try anything as this may be out last go depending how many defrost properly xx
My doc wanted me to have the scratch too, but as I had a hysteroscopy as well, with biopsie taken, he said no need as already "scratched" enough so crossing fingers this next time will work. Hope it goes well with the doc xx
I dont really know what a "scratch" is but heard it can help so willing to give it a go. I will do anything now so we can have a baby ourselves. Prob have to wait a while for a docs appt i would imagine. Thank you xx
I had the scratch done and my first ICSI cycle worked. Make sure you get your doc to agree to it in advance as they have to do it at a particular point in your cycle.
It's not a test you get in the nhs.... Quite costly have a word with your clinic.
I was worried that may be the case tamtam. I will ask the doc when i next go in though to see what our options are.
So sorry to hear this Sam101. The clinic should discuss all your options at your follow up appointment and you should be able to ask lots of questions 😘 Take it easy and allow yourself to grieve x x
Thanks noodles. I cant grieve too much otherwise i will never go out or stop crying. i just wish i knew it has happened again. Im worried that i will never find out as nhs funds are so limited. Just wish i had the rest of this week off so i could sort myself out then think about work next week xx
Could you call in sick hun? Needs must and all that, look after yourself and be gentle on yourself. It's a bloody rough ride, you have every right to take time right now if you can xx
3 years ago when I was 35, I did a fresh 5 day embryo transfer & fell pregnant. We now have a happy healthy son. Two years ago, we returned to icsi. I've had strong embryos & good endom, but for some unknown reason, I haven't fallen pregnant again :-(. In total, I've had 9 transfers (in Austria). I have discussed immunology with clinic but my very professional clinic don't believe this is the cause. Unfortunately there is so much yet to be learnt about IVF
