As some people have suggested to me in getting some DHEA supplement for better egg quality. Should I speak to my consultant first and will I need a blood test first to see how much I would need or if I need any at all ?
Many thanks and wishing you all the luck as always xx

Some consultants can be funny about them and don't offer or recommend them I have no idea why. I think yiu should order them anyway so your giving it your all to get those good quality mature eggs you need x it's a standard dose hun x they won't do you any harm! X
I asked my consultant about these after bfn on 1st cycle. I have slightly high fsh/low amh and the 3 embryos I produced weren't great quality and didn't make it to blastocyst. He said current evidence is you can get more eggs but there is no increase in live birth rate. He also said we wouldn't be able to try naturally as it is a hormone and could affect development. He was happy for me to try as no evidence of harm, but we decided we would rather give the chance of a natural conception between cycles.
Hi! I'm on DHEA - my clinic did a test and said my levels were quite low so 3mo of DHEA minimum before we try IVF again. I got a BFN in May after only getting 1 ET - I've got low AMH and low quality eggs. I've spent the past 5mo losing weight to get to the NHS BMI limit and have just 3lb to go!! Hoping the DHEA will help this time - I don't think it has negative effects?! I'd suggest getting the test if you can Good luck!
