Hello ladies. I have a very low AMH of 1 at age of 38. Apart from this there is no known identified deficiency, or abnormality. My DHEA level is normal.
I want to know if anyone has taken DHEA supplements despite normal levels and that helped with raising DHEA?Any positive experience of DHEA intake would help.
Thank you

I took DHEA supplements but only for 6 weeks before my successful cycle so it probably wouldn’t have affected things from an egg quality POV. Think I took either 25mg or 50mg per day and planned to recheck if needed.
I was taking DHEA and all other supplements as recommended in the It start wit the egg book but it has not made any difference in my treatment. I had exactly the same outcome - 8 eggs collected and only one was good for 5 day transfer.First transfer was unsuccesful, second egg had to be freezed and I am awaiting the transfer.
I took DHEA for 3 months (75 mg/day) and it definitely improved my egg quality and gave me my second child at the age of 44. I gave my leftover pills to my friend aged 43 with a history of recurrent miscarriage and it also gave her a baby at the age of 44. There is also super good scientific evidence that it works: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/313... (and you don't even need to have lower than normal DHEA levels for it to work as it was not measured in the patients in the trials in the link I posted)
Hi Tamaa, I took DHEA as my testosterone was on the lower side even though my DHEA levels were normal. I started at 25mg, 3 times a day. After a month, I retested and my testosterone was rising slowly and DHEA was at the top of the range (just slightly over actually) so I reduced the dosage to 25mg once a day, retested a month later and reduced again to 25mg every second day. My DHEA stabilized and my testosterone was where I wanted it to be too. That round was my best yet as regards embryo quality as 3 made it to good quality blasts which I hadn't had before. So I definitely think it made a difference for me but that was also because it raised my testosterone was originally on the lower side of the range so might be worth having that tested too.
I had my frozen egg transferred and it resulted in pregnancy. I am 5 months pregnant now at age of 41 and 2 months.I was so sceptical about it at the end but it seems that the supplements have made a difference❤️
