Abstinence before IUI

I'm having my IUI procedure on Friday. Does anyone know when is the last time we can have sex? I can't remember how long the period of abstinence should be, is it 48 hrs? I know leaving it too long is also not a good thing. Does anyone know?

Hi, not that sure what the IUI process involves, but for ivf we have been advised husband should have abstained for 3 days but no more than 5 days before he needs to provide sample. Hope that helps. Good luck xx
