Hi Ro5ie, I had really bad cramps, headaches and some palpitations on my first round but on my second treatment I've had virtually no side effects apart from a pretty intense headache. I found my side effects on the first round eased a lot once I started having the menopur in the evenings.
Hope you're not effected too badly, it seems that everyone responds differently, even on different cycles.
Good luck with the injections, I find giving the area a good rub to warm the skin helps, or doing them straight after the gym, a bath or a shower when you're skin is still warm. xx
Hi Ro5ie, I've just finished my last buserelin injection after 4 weeks of it. I've had a localised reaction to it. I've been more thirsty and had a few headaches but not much else and nothing that's limited my life. Good luck with it all x
Hi Ro5ie. Well done with the endo scratch and starting your buserelin injections. I defo agree about the HyCoSy procedure – not nice! Still, just wanted to wish you well with the rest of the treatment cycle and that it all goes to plan. Diane
thank you very much ive been for my embryoscope meeting today my partner isnt sure as the clinic dont have any info on how successful it is and he thinks its just an upsell i would like to try it they said about 80% of couples do use it x
Hi Ro5ie. Yes, it’s always difficult to make decisions as to whether to go for all these “new” monitoring and treatment options. All I would say about using embryoscopes is that you are not disturbing the embryos during their development, where usually they have to be removed from their growing environment to check their growth. I think it won’t be too long before using the embryoscope equipment will become the “norm”, and at the moment couples do often use it, especially when there have been failed cycles. Good luck with your decision making! Diane
