I had my follow up appointment yesterday after surgery, apparently the fibroid was a nasty thing as the consultant described, it was irregular shaped, inside the wall of my womb and was indenting the back of my uterus. He managed to remove the whole fibroid, unfortunately he had to cut into my uterus and it left a hole, which he fixed up using layers of tissue and muscle. He said the surgery went well and we’ve been given the go ahead to go for ICSI in January ! We are going to wait till feb so I can enjoy Christmas and relax. We decided not to use our last NHS go but go straight to the private clinic CRGW, we’ve found the process so difficult on the NHS we just want things to go smoothly from now on. I’m hoping it was the fibroid responsible for my failed embryos, at least we have a fresh start at it this time! Surgery now means il never be able to have a natural birth, but I don’t care how our baby comes out healthy and safe ! Another obstacle over come... roll on 2019

Ahhh I'm so pleased to hear surgery went well!!👏👏 Brilliant news and it's all sorted now so like you said, doesn't matter about delivering. Enjoy Xmas and a little recovery time before jumping back on the merry go round!!xx
This was my clinic to. I’m now nearly 9 weeks pregnant thanks to the lovely people who work so hard there
Sending lots of luck xx
Ahhh so exciting ! I’m actually starting to feel a smidge more excited now, I felt so much dread going back to the nhs, however I am so grateful for it, my NHS surgeon did the most amazing job on my surgery ! However the process of IVF through them was a nightmare, more stressful that the actual ivf ! So glad we are going with CRGW xxxx congratulations xxxx
I’m so pleased that surgery has been a success. I hope you enjoy your Christmas and have the best start to the new year xx
