Hi all,

Due to have my prostap injection next fri at GRI for my 1st round of IVF (unexplained fertility) Have been told that AMH is low at 4 and really feeling very down about it, I keep having dreams that I finish the injections and there is no eggs!

Anyone else due to start IVF treatment at GRI?x

Hi... I also have a low AMH, mine is 6.47 and that is really low for my age (29) but on my first round of ICSI they managed to retrieve 4 really good eggs and ione fertilised. Unfortunately it didn't work but with me having a low AMH they said 4 eggs was a really good number :) Good luck on your journey xxx

Hey, thanks very much, i've just turned 31 so the AMH 4 gave me a bit of a fright. They havent offered me ICSI but said that it would be IVF and I would be on the strongest dose, I think one in the morning and one in the evening. Sorry to hear that yours never fertilised, try and stay positive.. how many chances of ICSI do you get? xx

Keep your chin up xx

Hi hunni I've also got a low amh level too mines 5.56.. Despite this my clinic are still happy for me to egg share still..I'm sure that 4 will be fine for just you..they're prob just give you a higher dose.. Try not too worry..easier said than done I know...I think you hit the nhs criteria :D My ivf has had to go on hold as after I done my screening blood tests ..it was unexplained..but now discovered I've got a thyroid imbalance .. It's 3.9 my clinic want it to be. 2.5..as having a slightly raised thyroid can interfere with implantation.. Blood test being done 17th Oct..3 weeks after I'd been taking thyroxine..to see if it's improving and to see if the dr needs to adjust my dosage..

We will get there sweetie...wishing all the very best of luck xxxx

Hey Jess, thanks for the reply. 17oct will fly in....hope its good news.

Thanks again for the positive words, sometimes your fellas just dont have the right words ! xx

Best of luck, keep in touch xxx

Haha hunni my hubby never knows wot to say lol..! Whatever he says it's wrong..lol..!

Yes would love to say in touch..be nice to see you through your journey..wishing you every success with it.. :)

Thanks hunni..I'm not too worried about my blood test..the only one I'm not worried on lol..it's not like they're turning down my egg sharing..need see how my thyroid imbalance is ..and from that I may need to increase/decrease thyroxine it's no big deal.. :p Might have to wait a wee bit longer for my ivf to go ahead..but then again I might conceive on the thyroxine..I never know my luck..lol..!

Will def keep you posted and likewise please do keep me updated..

It is nice to be able to talk to others in our situation..we all understand wot were going through..

Xxxxxx

hi don't worry too much about your AMH, mine was that low at 0.57 we could refused treatment at the NHS hospital I was referred to. however I went elsewhere, started on the strongest dose of menopur, got 7 eggs, 5 fertilised and went to blastocyst stage and im now 8 weeks. Good luck

Trust me, your reactions can't be as bad as mine! All my tests were normal, but I didn't respond to the drugs. I had over the maximum dosage of drugs. I got 1 egg! But that 1 egg turned into a beautiful little girl. So don't panic yet. Your numbers are a lot higher than a lot of people I know and they were successful.
