Well no one can help you if you don't give more information about why you are going to see the gynae...
i keep getting pains , no periods, weight gain , feeling tired all the time and the doctor ran test and my fertility test back normal and i aint pregnant so he told me he dont know whats wrong so he sending me to the gynaecology
They'll just want a better look at your womb I guess- check for Poly cystic ovaries... The tubes...
Your doc is being thorough and sending you to the best place to get this sorted so don't panic as that doesn't help. Keep a diary of cycles... Symptoms... It will help! x
Hi winkalik. The basic symptoms that you describe could possibly be down to polycystic
ovaries as “hanjfarrell” suggests. The tiredness and weight gain could also be down to
an underactive thyroid. I don’t know what fertility test your doctor ordered for you that
came back normal, but everything is not normal, if you are not having periods etc., so it
is good that your GP has referred you. However, once the gynaecologist has seen you,
he/she will probably order more blood tests and possibly have your Fallopian tubes
checked for any blockages. The reason for checking that your tubes are open, is that
quite often drug treatment is the first plan of action, so tubes need to be checked before
proceeding with them. The gynaecologist you see, will probably also have knowledge in
infertility issues, so rest assured that you will be checked out and the appropriate
treatment prescribed. I wish you well with the outcome. Diane
Yes I am sure you will need to have ultrasound scans to start with.. just try to relax and go with it, they will spend some time figuring out what the problem is.
