Can you take Lubion up to 16 weeks?

Due to a haematoma that’s very slowly reducing, the EPU has given me a letter to take to the GP so that they can prescribe me with Cyclogest for weeks 12-16.

But up until week 12 I’m supposed to take Cyclogest x 3 and 1 x Lubion, and I’m inclined to continue taking both as they worked so well for me.

Is it even possible to take Lubion up to week 16? Or do most people stop it at 12?

Yes I think you could take it all the way through if needed. You can also take nifedipine for a haematoma, as it stops the uterus contracting until the haematoma has been reabsorbed by the body.

I had bleeding and spotting in my first successful pregnancy that started when I tapered off progesterone (pessaries and 2x lubion) around 10 weeks. I panicked and went back on the pessaries until I could get it investigated. That stopped it almost straightaway so I didn't restart the lubion. Plus the NICE guidelines only mention pessaries.
