Bleeding at 16 weeks

Hello,

Should I be worried about low progesterone? Is it a coincidence I came off progesterone just before 14 weeks and have been bleeding on and off since week 15 (16 weeks now.) I have mentioned a few time to mid wives but just fobbed off about it?

Baby appears fine following scan and they can’t see where I could be bleeding from.

Obviously just petrified and castastrophising.

:(

Hi there,

I know it’s really hard to stop the brain jumping straight to the worst but sounds reassuring that all looks good on the scan.

I’m 16 weeks also and have come off progesterone recently too. I was told to wean off it as it can cause bleeding after you stop. I was also told they don’t know why this happens but it is not a low progesterone thing.

I hope this is the reason for your bleeding and soon you can be free of this worry. I know it’s scary.

Hello lovely,

I had a haematoma at 17 weeks and had brown blood for 3 weeks. They scanned me every week and the baby was fine but apparently it’s really common in ivf pregnancies.

I know it’s hard but as long as it’s not red blood with pain you’re probably fine xx

Hey Millbanks,

Yeah no pain - they can’t find any SCH. It could be too small though?

So hard isn’t it! Just don’t want it to be the start of something disastrous that we could prevent.

Gaah

Hope you’re well xx

I honestly think that sometimes they just don’t know. But unless it gets worse I think brown blood is ok. And very common. Fingers crossed xx
