7 weeks and pink discharge

Hello

I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant and got my early scan on Thursday but I had some pink discharge today. Should I be worried?

hi there, I suggest you search the topic in the forum as there’s loads of threads and extensive answers on the matter.

From my personal experience I’ve had spotting at 5 weeks (due to lack of oestrogen) then again at 9 weeks then 10.5.

Are you on progesterone? IVF meds can cause this x

Hi thanks for replying. Yes I'm on progesterone so maybe this was all it was. It only happened once and has happened since. That's reassuring it happened to you. Thanks

Yes it’s very common but doesn’t make it less unsettling! It’s great that it’s only a single episode. It will probably happen again even if you switch to rectal use. It’s the actual progesterone causing it - it’s important to remember that it’s a side effect and very common. But if you’re worried you could go get a scan at least you know for sure. I did it as I was quite stressed x

Hello! Same thing happened to me at 7 weeks and the EPU said it was probably old blood from implantation or irritation from the pessaries. I’m 13w4d now!

I remember I had spotting too and my doctor said it was because of the progesterone. I did carry to full term and had a baby girl. Wishing you all the best. Have a healthy pregnancy. x

Hi . If you are using pessaries, it could be causing irritation to the cervix. If so, try using them in your back passage for a few days. Drink plenty of water just in case it’s the start of a urine infection. Hope it soon clears up. Diane
