I feel so anxiousđ trying to find some reassurance.
I have spotting pink/brown, on and off since 5dptâŚI had my first scan last week, when I was 6+1 and two heartbeats were thereâ¤ď¸â¤ď¸, but also I was told that I have two hematomas (5 and 7 mm). Dr prescribed antibiotics and suggested to rest.
SoâŚfor couple of days I had some brown spots and yesterday I was so happy that there were no soots all dayâŚ
However, today, in the morning I felt mild cramps and bright red spots back againđ I read a lot of posts about spotting/bleeding, Iâm aware that this doesnât mean someting bad, however, Iâm worried because in my case it stopped, and now came back - as fresh red blood spots⌠Iâll have new appointment on Monday next week. It is so hard to relax and stay positive. ..so, so hard.
Are there any similar stories. Is this a bad sign?
Thank you so muchâ¤ď¸đ

Hi! Congratulations on your pregnancy and really sorry to read about the hematomas...I had a large bleed at 5w3d and it turned out to be a large subchorionic hematoma. It was bigger than the baby sac! Fortunately, it went away on its own by the 12 week scan. Like you, I was told to rest, work from home and also to stop the baby aspirin I was on, because the two apparently often go together. I too was really stressed but try to stay calm and positive, there is a lot of hope!
Thank you!!! It mesns a lot!!!! Yes, they also took me off the aspirin, however, Iâm still on Clexane. Next week they will see whether to atop Clexane for a certain periodâŚthank you so much for your replyâ¤ď¸đ
I know itâs hard but please try not to worryâŚ. Yes my daughter bled on and off for the first ten weeks, it was a scary time for us all, (she also had a hematoma which eventually went on its own. She found when she stayed of her feet the bleeding was less, but all was ok thankfully x
Ohhh!!! It is so reasurring to hear that everything went well and the gorgeuos boy is there now!!!!â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸ Iâm so happy for you! Thank you for replyingđ
Aw thank you! Yes it was a massive haematoma and it bled for over 3 weeks pretty much continuously - but I had a scan each week to monitor and make sure all ok.
Congratulation on your BFP.I was bleeding alot thats when I find out I was carrying twins. It happened couple of times but it stopped eventually. It was alot with clot
Iâm also carrying twinsđ I googled a lot about hematomas, it seems they are common and often seen with multiple pregnanciesâ¤ď¸â¤ď¸ Thank you for answering, it means a lot. I wish you all the bestđ
hi lovely, I can totally understand how worrying this must be! I bled on and off from 5-8 weeks at some points heavy enough to fill a pad! I was so so worried but Iâm nearly 21 weeks now and doing ok. I was taken off clexane and aspirin for the duration of my bleeding but am back on now but from what Iâve read online clexane shouldnât be an issue and in some ways can help.
I took extra progesterone, alpha lipoic acid and vitamin c and it cleared up pretty quickly for me, I also completely rested the whole time which I believe is important.
Much the same as the rest I had large bright red bleeds with clots, first one they saw the hematoma on a scan but after the second they couldnât and said that it had most likely been it bleeding out. So much stress between as the first dr didnât know too much about them and assumed the worst but heard the heart beat at the second scan which was amazing.
I also took alpha lipoic acid for the time I bled as read it helped and took things easy and it cleared up quickly and, so far, have not had any bleeds again since and now in week 31! Best of luck xx
Dear Tanya, thank you so much!! I will ask about alpha lipoic acid, I heard it has many benefits in pregnancyâŚ
To be honest, it is so frustrating when we feel that doctors are in doubt for any reasonâŚWe can feel when something is wrong, we look at their gestures, faces, their eyesâŚand then they just tell you - you know, thereâs not much we can do, try to relaxđąđ!!!! This is the hardest! Anyway, thank you, your answer is much appreciatedâ¤ď¸đ
I had bleeding off and on until 10 weeks with my wee boy. Sometimes it was horrendous bleeding with clots and cramps sometimes brown spotting. I was told it could go either way and to rest so I took a few weeks off work. By 8 weeks it has seemed to resolve itself and I bled less until it finally stopped at 10 weeks. Everything was normal after that so it can work out there is defo hope but it is scary for you none the less! Xx
