Hi all,
I’m 11 weeks and 1 day today. Had sex this morning and noticed that all day, after I wipe, my discharge is tinged with a faint brown.
Just looking for reassurance that this is not something concerning?
I’ve read online that brown when wiping can be quite common in early pregnancy?

hello, I have also read this can be common. And the concern is only really if bright red - someone I chat too in another forum has had slightly tinted discharge for a while & all is well x

I am exactly as far as you too, and it’s just such a worrying time isn’t it - getting to that 12 wk mark & waiting for the screening etc just so we can breathe a little x when is your 12 wk scan ? Are you in the UK ? x
Definitely worrying, it’s hard not to overanalyse.
We have our 12 week scan next Monday so I’m hoping that’ll give me some reassurance. When’s yours?

Our scan is also next Monday - Can’t wait ! We have had a few private scans since, with the last being yesterday and they have really helped with my anxiety. We are up in the north west about half an hour from liverpool !
When did you have your transfer ? Mine was 22nd Nov x
I can’t wait either, just getting to the 12 week mark and knowing everything is okay feel so good!
Our transfer was the 23rd Nov, which was my birthday so I’m sure it was a positive omen and our provisional due date is 10th Aug. Xx
It can be nothing to worry about and common in pregnancy, especially early. I had it in my first pregnancy throughout and I was told that all the hormonal changes and extra blood vessels - especially on/around cervix - plus pressure from growing uterus, make spotting quite common. And if it coincided with you having sex that would make sense as you may have just irritated the cervix a bit. But I still had it investigated as I'd had losses and mine also coincided with stopping progesterone. Turned out to be a begin growth on the cervix and all fine but was good to have the reassurance. Keep an eye on it and speak to your midwife, and if it carries on, especially if it gets heavy or bright red, you should contact the EPU.

When I started bleeding at 11 weeks the first thing the nurse asked is if we had sex, so It's probably from that.
I hope you ok! I had this and I had a bladder infection and cervix irritation from pessaries probably worth getting checked out xx
