How many weeks were you when you had the whooping cough vaccine? NHS says 16-32 weeks that’s such a broad range! Thanks

Whooping cough vaccine when to have it

I think I had it same day as my 20 week scan....
I had mine last week at 25 weeks. I had read somewhere from 24 weeks baby can be born ok so whilst I couldn’t find any risks of jab I thought I would wait to get past that deadline (my midwife told me after 21 weeks for jab). I have immunity having had it as a child anyway but apparently that doesn’t always get passed onto baby. Apart from a sore arm (!) all was fine x

Thanks that’s good advice actually waiting until after 24 weeks, think I’ll do that then! I’ve had the jab before with our first son (natural conception) but he’s nearly 8 now so I’m guessing I still need to get jabbed again to protect this bump x
In my area they give it to you at your 20 week scan. I would ask your midwife about it if I was you. X
hiya I was offered it at my last midwife app 16 weeks but I had a really bad cold so she has delayed it till the next one at 24 weeks xxx
