I’m currently on

Inhixa (blood thinner)

Lubion (morning & night)

Crinone pessary (morning & night)

Prednisolone steroid (morning)

Per day

I would love to carry on meds aslong as possible 🫣 (terrified to stop) my clinic is keen for me to stop at 12 weeks but they have mentioned me staying on one of the above till 16weeks. I can’t remember what one they have said for me to stay in till 16weeks as the phone call was so long ago when I started this round of ivf. Il phone clinic tomorrow and find out but would love to know what you all think and what’s best to try stay on as long as possible if I can.

I’m 9 weeks today 🫶🏽🌈

hey, I am not on all the same drugs as you and my clinic also said stop after 12 week scan - my midwife said that some people take progesterone to 16 weeks. I know others have steroids which they have to wean off it. All this said though your clinic can advise you the best! Just saying my understanding! Good luck!!

hello, I was on various forms of progesterone and oestrogen but was weaned off them from 12 weeks. Started aspirin around then and stopped that at 36 weeks and then started inhixa at 28 weeks and that will continue until after birth as I’m having a c section. Hope that helps. Weaning off was a bit scary but everyone I know who has weaned off at 12 weeks has had no problems. Good luck!

I started weaning some progesterone at 10 weeks and was off everything by 14. I am also on blood thinners and I am being kept on them until 6 weeks after birth but that is due to the fact I have tested positive in the past for blood clotting issues leading to MC. I know its terrifying coming off stuff, and I kept a supply of extra cyclogest just in case I started spotting but all was fine x

Hi Hopedream I was on Lubion, Clexane (blood thinners) and progesterone pessaries. I was told to stop all at 12 weeks. As I had my scan 12 week scan at 12+4 I carried on till then. Once I saw the little one on the screen and it was confirmed the placenta was doing its job I stopped all meds it was scary at first but completely fine as once the placenta kicks in you no longer need the meds. However I do have to restart the blood thinners at 26 and continue until 6 weeks after birth due to risk categories I fall into. When you have your midwife booking in appointment they will go through your medical and ivf history with you and let you know if you will require additional medication. Good luck x
