Preservatives in eyedrops
hello I have been using Ilube eye drops for years. ( Acetylcysteine 5% )I have recently discovered it contains preservative benzalkonium chloride which is toxic to the eye. Is this a reason to stop using it or is the preservative not in large amounts? Many thanks

Checking the Patient information Leaflet (PIL)
When you are prescribed new
eyedrops
, or in fact any type of prescribed medication, it is always a good idea to read the patient information leaflet for side effects, which is normally section 5.

dorzolamide single dose units
What is the point of this cheaply made unenvironmental product which is delivering
eyedrops
in such a hit or miss way such as to jeopardise peoples eyesight??? Should I take this up with my dispensing pharmacist this time, on the grounds of unuseableness or address my concerns to my consultant?

Cataracts. Has anyone attempted to use Lanosterol Eyedrops to dissolve their cataracts?
Lanerstol Eye Drops are marketed for use on animal cataracts to clear their lenses, seemingly, with success. Internet search suggests more research is being carried out as human lenses are apparently tougher than horses, dogs and rabbits and dosage may need to be amended. Has anyone any knowledge or

headache, throbbing, eye pain & rolling
My eye pressure returned to normal levels in June and i was told that if there was no deterioration at the next check, I could come off the two
eyedrops
(Dorzolamide, Latanoprost). However, at my check in Jan this year, though the eye pressure was normal there was deterioration in the glaucoma.

Brown circles around eyes with Lumigan
I don’t think my consultant would change my
eyedrops
lightly because I am experiencing progressive sight loss in one eye (have already had a trabeculectomy) and I think the options for other drops are running out.

EYE HEALTH: RELATIONSHIP OF PMR, PRED & MTX TO GLAUCOMA, CATARACTS, & DRY EYE
Eyedrops
are the common advice from my Optometrist, GP, and Opthalmologist. I found homeopathic Similasen Allergy drops work for me.

observations of progressing PD for PWP......Eyes
Carry
eyedrops
with you and use them prolifically. Additionally as we develop REM sleep disorder (rapid eye movement), the even moistening resulting from normal REM sleep is lessened greatly as the eyes do not move as much as they should during sleep.

Such sore eyes with Lumigan
Five days ago, my consultant has switched me to Lumigan preservative free single use
eyedrops
to apply at night. My eyes have been so sore since the switch. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can alleviate this? 🙏

Whose advice should I follow?
He changed my
eyedrops
to Bitsmaprost. He was happy for me to wait for my NHS Moorfields appointment so that the effect of the new drops could be monitored At the NHS appointment which came through for last week, I was seen by a specialist ophthalmologist rather than a doctor or consultant.

Forgot my drops
Hi everyone I thought you might like to hear about this fall back if you are stuck somewhere without your
eyedrops
. I left home on Friday for a 5 day stay with my mother in law 200 miles from home. I found I had forgotten my eye drops.

Adverse reaction to eyedrops
Has anyone else experienced bad pain associated with glaucoma
eyedrops
? If I have another condition (dry eye, for example) would these drops cause more harm than good? Getting answers from clinicians seems impossible. Took four days to get any sort of reaction.

Glaucoma and hayfever nasal spray
My IOP followed the familiar path of slowly increasing over the years, commenced treatment with bimatoprost / timolol
eyedrops
, IOP reduced for a while ( a few years) and then climbed again, I recently had drainage stents fitted to both eyes = no more bimatoprost / timolol drops (currently), IOP ok

I had a bardvelt shunt to both eyes approx 10 years ago but they are no longer functioning so I am back on
