Endoscopy?
Hi all, just asking if anyone was in the same ‘panic mode’ when told I was going to need an
endoscopy
I haven’t seen it mentioned much before but when I told the nurse who did my pre-procedure check about how much I was dreading it, she suggested having it done through my nose!

I had an
endoscopy
when first diagnosed with PA and benign polyps were found. That was nearly 7 years ago; does anyone know if this test should be done regularly? Also, I have had symptoms recently that worry me a bit but they could be a result of the tail end of a lingering virus.

Endoscopy Experience
Morning, I posted earlier about fretting regarding an upcoming
endoscopy
and had so many replies that I was quite put at ease and intended to have sedation. However, on the day, I elected to go with the throat spray as I was told that I could stop and have sedation at any time.

Endoscopy was a bust.............
I got to the hospital fairly early for my apt. at 1.30pm and i was the second patient on the list. Dr lee came to see me and he was lovely. He has hinted that i might need a valve replacement as it is thickening quite a lot. I don't remember much about it as the sedation was working and afterwards

Has anybody had any experience with an endoscopy?
Saw the consultant in September and was impressed at how thorough she was regarding other problems running along side and said she wanted me to have an
endoscopy
. Now, over the years, I have had a number of operations without any worry. But, I am fretting over the
endoscopy
.

G P telephone consultation
He also mentioned a referral for an
Endoscopy
to check for varices. Since the call I rang the
Endoscopy
dept to chase it up and have an appointment in less than 2,weeks I also asked the GP for referral to dietitian and he thought I might be refused (due to bmi) He was going to try though.

I chased with my doctor and the
endoscopy
unit at the hospital and keep getting pushed back! Has anyone had anything similar? Any tips to get seen ?? I feel so ignored and upset by it all! Have looked at going private but so expensive - might be my only option soon 😭

Stomach cancer
She then went for
endoscopy
app. The girl who did the
endoscopy
was suspicious of malignancy in stomach. She noticed bleeding in stomach as well. My wife was admitted and 2 days later the consultant told her that he is not worried about her having cancer.

Is there a difference between Barrett’s tongue and barretts oesophagus ?
I have been trying to research this since my
endoscopy
showed “possible Barrett’s tongue” Biopsy has been taken to rule this out which I hope is a positive sign , but does anyone have experience of this term?

confused?
I have also had an
Endoscopy
to check for varices. The
endoscopy
was normal, no varices. At the latest US I spoke to the sonographer and asked how severe the cirrhosis was.

Ovarian cancer recurrence
An
endoscopy
, PET scan and an
endoscopy
with ultrasound and biopsies since have confirmed that I have a 4cm tumour. How do you cope with recurrence? I'm left not knowing what they plan to do until the new year now. I feel angry, helpless and terrified all at the same time.
