I didn't have anything like that the day before, just no eating after 9pm and only clear fluids up until 5 am for a morning Lap. Good luck, hope all goes well. xxx

Hi I had lap last week and the nurse said at me preop that is I don't suffer with constipation, generally more the opossite, that there was no need for that. She also said as it was only diagnostic that It wouldn't be needed. A little tip for after though I was very constipated which is painful when your tummy muscles are sore and so having laxitives in house ready is a good idea incase you need it.

Other than this I've recovered well and improved every day and quicker than I expected. Good luck with your lap and hope all goes well x

I didnt have to do that either. Good luck for thurs n hope it all goes well. Like lillyflower said about the constipation, get urself lactulose though as its gentle on ur stomach and will help ur stools be softer and easier to pass. xx

Thanks ladies. The nurse said that if the doctor can treat whilst in there he will so fingers crossed it is actually endo i have and can be treated, if they say it's not endo i really don't know what I'll do! xxx

Mine much the same as all above, nothing given to 'clear out' but I was very constipated and didn't go for 7 days after, I think it was the fact that I hadn't eaten much for three days, as in the night before the lap, the day of the lap and only had a piece of toast the day after as felt sick all the time but that was the anasetic, once I started eating I ate prunes etc, cabbage, took laxido three sachets a day but none of worked until the seventh day, but really was only about four days worth of food, if you take gentle laxatives it keeps things softer rather than going too hard and makes it easier when you do go (sorry if tmi lol) xx
