Has anyone had a second laparoscopy that showed endo to be worse than the first?
I feel like I’m losing my mind - had a laparoscopy in Feb 2020 and a small amount of endo was found and burned away. I’m in significant pain and have been for 10 years I feel surely they are missing something?

I had an hysterectomy and was told all was removed and I wouldn’t suffer anymore but the pain continued so it took 3 yrs to convince them I needed further surgery which I had in Sept where it was found again. We know our bodies and if you feel something isn’t right then keep fighting. It’s tiring but worth it in the end. I was fobbed off by GPS telling me it’s in my head as pain used to be there so go download the calm app!! 😡 hope you get some answers. This is a horrible disease and we are treated so unfairly. Since aged 12 been fighting with drs. So angry about it all xx
It’s shocking how little endo is looked into and considered a ‘real’ illness. I’m with you, since 13 I’ve been battling to get my voice heard yet 12 years later and I feel worse than ever! Xx
hi hun how's u doing? I've have several laparoscopys every one contradiction the other, I'm still no closer to an answer or a way to become pain free, I really hope you get the help u need and if you want to chat plz let me know xx
Hello! I’m sorry you are going through this too. The pain in my back, sides and legs is unbelievable - it’s just a constant battle. Thank you I appreciate it xx
Depending on the experience of the gynaecologist who did the operation yes they absolutely can miss it. Burning it off also doesn't give as much relief as excision, so that could be another reason. Was your surgery done at a BSGE centre? Xxx
Might be worth a Google love, you can find the list of BSGE centres online that's how I found the one that I'm now with, I found where I wanted to go (annoyingly can't say which place) then told my GP to refer me there I'm now just waiting for the appointment to come through. Xxx
I’ve asked them if they can refer me to one. They referred me to general gynae which had no appointments until October. I don’t understand how we are just expected to live with the pain and wait months for initial appointments. It’s so disheartening xxx
Had a physio appt today and was told my adhesions and scar tissue is causing me most problems. Had a bit of tummy massage and internal physio which both hurt loads. Have to go back for proper sessions but it’s gonna be agony but have to try to do something to help and I think I am lucky to have had it offered so going to be brave. Last chance for some eventual relief. Maybe ask drs to refer you for physio, as she told me more than any Dr or consultant has. X
