Hey,

I was just wondering wether anyone could help me on how long they had to wait for their laparoscopy on the NHS? I went today to see the gynaecologist and they put me on the list but I would like to know how long others had to wait? Thank you

Depends where you live but could be anything up to a 1 year wait. X

I saw my gynae last Wednesday and he told me I'll be waiting around two months. I'm on the south coast UK x

Hi. I got referred end of May for a lap and had surgery on 1st Aug. I'm in Essex.

I'm in the Bristol area and was told 4-5 months

Depends where you are - I waited 7 weeks from seeing gynae to first lap (this was with general gynae). Was then referred on to a bsge centre where I waited 16 weeks from seeing doc to first lap with them and then 18 weeks to second.

I paid to go private for the consult and then NHS for the lap and because I went private to start it only took 1 month to have the lap. It wasn't cheap but did help push things on. I also have private insurance which paid back half my costs.

I was lucky within weeks of seeing the gynaecologist as went on cancellation list

Also if you put your name forward for clinical trials for endo which I did your seen quicker
