I also get rectum pain, it was worse before my surgery but I have also gotten better at managing my pain since being diagnosed.

It could be a number of things, I know that I would be worried in your position too.

*hugs*

I guess all I can say is that answers themselves can bring a relief as you stop having to live with all the potential things that could be wrong and you can get down to the business of dealing with what needs to be dealt with.

I hope you have supportive people in your life who you can get lots of hugs from but either way we are here xx

I got that type of pain too (I now have the coil and my symptoms are *greatly* reduced) and all sorts of issues with my back passage that sometimes made me scared if it was something more.

Endo can make me go from one extreme to the other depending upon the time of my month. I get what I call cystitis of the bottom during my period because it feels like I really want to go but there's nothing. And it hurts to try.

The lap and colonoscopy will help settle your mind - even if they are bloody horrible things to go through.

Let us know how it goes. x

I too am new to this site and have found it a source of comfort and information. It makes you realise you are not alone.

I too suffer from rectum pain.It is worse nearer my period and during.

Endo has so many symptoms which can be like something else, so no wonder you are worried bless you. Thankfully you are having a Lap, which at least will help give some answers. Just having that answer and being diagnosed makes you feel like you are not going crazy. I wish you luck for the Lap and the colonoscopy. I know it easier said than done but please try not to worry too much about it. We are all here if you need to rant and unload. x

Thank you ladies for leaving the comments. It's such a relief to read that you have similar symptoms and that i'm not going mad. I will keep you posted with my results.

Love and hugs to you all. x x
