hi everyone it's been really nice to read everyone's experiences. i'v had endo for 17 years but just found out how serious it has become

plus hav developed endo bowel. just wanted to know that after taking the injection decapeptyl was it ok to get back to work as i work full time as a reception teacher and still am working will just take day off for injection.

Hey its ok to go to work and carry on like normal but some people do feel a bit queasy after so if its ur 1st time then it may b a good idea to take the day off just to see how u go, ive been on zoladex which does the same thing and sometimes id feel queasy, sometimes it bought on a flare and sometimes i was fine hope this helps xx

Sorry to hear about that. I've had Prostap & been ok. I am now on Norethisterone 5mg ( 3 times per day) as my endo is inoperable - but it has stopped my periods. I am 39, have 2 children and work as a TA. They attempted a full hysterectomy last October, only managing to remove a 12cm cyst & the ovary it was on. Endo fused womb, bowel & bladder. They did not want to carry on with the op as it was a major risk that I would end up with a colostomy bag. I was in theatre for 3 hours anyway, as they called different consultants in. I hope you have some kind of success in your treatment x

When you get used to having the injection, you'll be able to pop to the doctor in your lunch break and not even think about it

I understand why the thought of the first injection is daunting but honestly, it's just an injection

HIi am having a hysterectomy soon due to endo.I have been on deceptyl since april and will be on it til i have the op,the injections usually make me feel abit wobbly,sicky and tired thats all abit like you are about to come down with something but not bad at all and it doesn,t last long.I have a very busy physical job and most times i went back to work after having them.I wouldn,t worry.xx ,

I am so sorry you are worried about your injection, I have finished my zoladex injections in July and I am really worried about my first period.
