just wondered about people's opinions on morphine? Cannot continue in agony so morphine is next step. Do they make you feel rough.
Do morphine patches work?: just wondered... - Endometriosis UK
Do morphine patches work?
I wouldnt recommend you to go down this path...its highly addicted as you may know already.
You should discuss with your gynae other options, I know its hard, but it would be even worse to suffer with endo and be addicted to opium based drug too.
Best of luck

Hi Livi
Try it and see
I get what Jo is saying about opiates, but they are literally the only thing that control my pain. Nothing else even touches it. When I have had surgeries, I've been told off for not using the morphine pumps enough, but my pain threshold is high, I don't like taking drugs just for the sake of it.
My GP has warned me about the potential for addiction, and the last chemist went as far as suggesting to my face that I was in fact probably using it recreationally. The last thing you want when you are climbing the walls in pain is to be stigmatised as a junkie and a time waster. You just want the pain to stop.
Nobody knows how your particular pain is affecting you, therefore nobody has the right to pass judgement.
All of that being said....I couldn't get on with morphine at all, it made me feel really sick
There's another drug, Palexia, which is being recommended for endo pain now; see if your doctor has heard of it. Ironically, the same doctor who is not thrilled about me having pethidine wouldn't prescribe Palexia because she had never heard of it!!! but it's supposed to be very good
Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon

Good luck trying to get it,
I have tried so many times to get higher than Oxynorm because I can not take tramadol as I am allergic to it.
I am fed up with being in pain any more and I have asked my doctors to give me anything even if it is addictive I do not care any more nothing helps.
Let me know if you try it and if it is any good.
